Well scissors out and pattern pieces cut, and I am really looking forward to this make.

It is a pattern that I have had in my stash, f-o-r-e-v-e-r. The pattern is from a Prima magazine November 2008. I love the pockets on this coat.

As It is now getting very Autumnal outside, I feel as though I might just blend in with the trees, although with this bright orange lining, I am hoping to even outshine them 🙂

*I used a wool blend reversible woven coating fabric in orange/grey & black MF-121217-36 @£6.99 per meter.

*For the lining I used a premium anti static taffetan in copper 426-5055 @£2.99 per meter.

I used to be an Interior Designer, working mainly for IKEA where I traveled the world designing beautiful stores and room sets for them. A little bit about me, My love of sewing and all things crafty started when I was young. I had a lovely Auntie- Auntie Joan and she was so talented and I could not wait for the summer holidays to go to Whitby, where she lived,and to stay with my cousins, for the school holidays. Auntie Joan would have a mound of fabric to sew into teddies or doll clothes, there was paper and paints, always something different. My mum too, was quite crafty, knitting was her go to craft, all by hand - until - she bought a knitting machine ! Oh how we loved the sound of that as we tried to watch tv after school. But I remember trying out different crafts with my mum too, from crochet to basket weaving and everything in between.
