My ‘Might’ makes 2019

I thought I would just talk to you about last month’s planned makes, that I did not get around to. If you saw my last video, you will know I am taking part in #sewmystyle and for February I wanted to make the ilford jacket, by the Friday Pattern Company There was a choice between this and/or Summit Pack but I don’t really need another bag, and have never made one before. Although the Summit Pack by Cloudsplitter  is really cute, I think I might put it on my to do list for another time

I always think bags seem hard to make ? What are your thoughts on this ?

So this months SMS is a choice between  Laela Jeyne Patterns Willa Vest | Liesl & Co. Patterns Gelato Blouse + Dress I don’t think I would wear the vest, but I would maybe wear the dress, but haven said that, the dress pattern is very like the Corney pattern that I already have, so I may not take part in SMS this month.

But I have also decided to bust my sash, this month , so I am using some black polyester Jersey from Minerva fabrics. I don’t really like this fabric, but I had it so I am gonna use it. Now I have had the Ogdin Cami by True Bias for ages and really love seeing all the lovely colourful tops made by others, so yes I am going to make that..yup..in black, call it a wearable twirl if you like, but I should get some wear out of it, i think black goes with anything and I love a monochrome look.

I have also had the linden sweatshirt top pattern by Grainline Studios, from last year and I am dying to make up, so I have chosen these fabrics for my first one, again from Minerva fabrics. I will make the Body in Black and the raglan sleeves in red, plain and simple .

I would also like to make the ultimate trousers from sew over it in either blue/black and maybe a white pair for the summer. Just cotton I think ? Another item that I have not attempted before.

Also for Easter I will make the In this another cotton  fabric, I will team it up with a charity shop topper and my very special Easter bonnet.

All  will be revealed later on in the month along with an Easter wreath for your home.
